Set in the verdant hills of Bindoon, in the Darling
Ranges, and about 85Km North by East from
Perth W.A. our vineyard is producing a variety
of excellent classic and new style Wines.
We are members of the Perth Hills Wine growing
area, with soils varying from heavy clay
to decomposing Granite and with almost no
top soil.
The weather is hot and dry with
little water (only 350mm last year) we are
high, above the frost line and experience
regular hot dry and dusty easterly winds.
Our vines are grafted on to root stock resistant
to most diseases and they are expected to
send their roots down to find nourishment.
The vines have no regular irrigation, and
are grown in a near organic environment on
open trellising. The finished and bottled
wine contains a minimum of preservative.
Having said that! the red wines we produce are rich
and plumy, whilst the whites tend to be luscious
and aromatic. Contact Ron and Chris for an
a wine-tasting, or for more information about
current wines. |
